Adoption Fees

*Please Note: If you become approved to adopt from us and choose to commit to a certain animal that at the time is too young to adopt or may still need vaccinations or spay/neuter, we will accept a deposit to hold the animal for you until he/she is ready to go home but please know that if you change your mind or if your circumstances change and you are no longer able to complete the adoption, these deposits are nonrefundable.The amount of this "HOLD FEE" varies, is set by Shelter management and depends on the animal in question.

      to refuse an applicant for animal adoption.

PUPPIES up to 12 months of age ......................................................................$400 and and refundable deposit until it is brought back... we alter when old enough at our veterinarian. If you bring the puppy back to us we will continue to give all puppy shots [ UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED]
PUPPIES UP TO 12 MONTHS OF AGE IF YOU ALTER AT YOUR VETERINARIAN........................$200 with a $200 refundable cash deposit 
If you bring the puppy back to us we will continue to give all puppy shots
Regardless of which option you choose, A refundable check or cash has to be left at the shelter and then will be returned to you when you show proof of spay/neuter regardless of either:
1} you bring the animal back to us
2} if you alter at your veterinarian. 
If a check is left, you must update it every sixty days with a new check or it will be cashed. [prices may vary per situation] 
 

DOGS 13 months of age or older .......................................................................$300 depending upon circumstances [ unique situations may require different fees ]

UNIQUE breeds may be more than listed price and based on per case animals.  

SENIOR DOGS or DOGS with special needs ................................................Negotiable 
Every animal is a unique situation and prices will vary upon each one

Small Breed Dogs....Fees are based upon age and breed of canine

Cats and Kittens come with all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, microchipped, FELV snap tested, and altered.  If they are too young to be altered, you can bring them back to us to get altered as they become old enough.  In this case, a refundable deposit is required.  Please note that cats with special needs or are seniors, we follow our veterinarian's recommendations for altering etc.

CATS 13 months of age and older ......................................................................$100

SENIOR CATS or CATS with special needs ..................................................$50

Claimed Pet fee ............................................................................................$50 per day & any vaccinations etc.  Please note you must provide proof of ownership when you pick up any claimed pet.   Owners that have animals that come to humane society as strays, more than once, will be charged DOUBLE the per day boarding fee for second offence, three times the fee the third time etc.  Any additional strays that come here belonging to the same person, or address, will be charged TRIPLE the fee starting on the first day, No exceptions. Any additional strays that come here belonging to the same person, or address will be charged TRIPLE the daily fees.  This is done to prevent animals to be running at large, that may cause harm or even death to the animal and people.  Animals under six months old will be starting at $75.00 per day and the repeat offender is as above.
